Taya Short has worked on major sporting events for over a decade. Since her first trip to the London 2012 Olympic Games as the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC)’s social media manager, her Olympic passport has been stamped in Russia, South Korea, Brazil, China and Austria.
Taya loves the thrill of working on the Olympics, Winter Olympics, Youth Olympics and Commonwealth Games. A media and communication specialist, Taya established the @AUSOlympicTeam digital media footprint before project managing Channel 7’s Olympic and Commonwealth Games coverage from 2014 through to Tokyo 2020.
Taya now works for the Australian Government’s Office for Sport with a focus on leveraging the major sporting events coming to Australia over the green and gold decade, culminating in the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
