Louise brings more than 20 years’ experience as an executive, board director and professional communicator across not-for-profit, government, tourism, sport, media and professional services. She’s a Surf Life Saving Queensland Board Director, Deputy Chair of Queensland Country Tourism, and previously served on the Board of Triathlon Queensland.
Louise built a successful career in corporate communication, media, events and strategic public relations, holding senior roles with iconic Queensland organisations such as the Great Barrier Reef Foundation, Queensland Museum Network, Brisbane Marketing and Village Roadshow Theme Parks. She has led communication and engagement initiatives to leverage international events including the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, World Veterans Athletics Championships and Olympic Football.
Her passion for sport began on the netball court as a competitor, then representative player, coach, umpire, and committee member and she also enjoyed competing in athletics, basketball and touch football.
Before making a career switch to communication and public relations, Louise qualified as a chartered accountant with global firm EY. She has degrees in commerce and law from the University of Queensland and a Graduate Diploma in Communication from Queensland University of Technology.
