Leanne is Chief Risk Officer at Suncorp Bank, with accountability for the assessment, management, and oversight of all risks across the Bank. In her role, Leanne also has oversight of Suncorp’s $62 billion lending portfolio, helping customers across Australia to buy their homes and build their business. Leanne joined Suncorp in January 2022, bringing significant experience to the role. She has worked in Australia and New Zealand and spent 6 years in New York financial markets. In her time in New York she surrounded herself in women’s rights, supporting work to promote access to health and reproductive rights and promoting female representation in media.
Leanne passionately supports Suncorp’s ambitions in focusing on sustainability and delivering profit with purpose. Outside of Suncorp, Leanne co-founded a start-up to significantly impact and accelerate Australia’s transition to a green economy, with investments in Offshore wind development in North East Tasmania.
Leanne was a visiting scholar at Boston University, holds a Masters of Law from Sydney University and a Degree in Economics from Macquarie University. She is admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
