Kristina Stern

Kristina Stern graduated in law from Melbourne University (first class Honours) in 1987. She then worked as a solicitor before completing a PhD from Cambridge University (where she was a Tapp Scholar) and lecturing in law at King’s College and University College London. She spent ten years at the London Bar at 39 Essex Street, practising in both public and private law. She was appointed to the Treasury Panel, represented the UK Government in the Hutton Inquiry considering the UK Government’s entry into the Iraq war and appeared on numerous occasions in the House of Lords. She was admitted to the NSW Bar in 2006 and was appointed Senior Counsel in 2011. She has a broad practice including public, commercial, professional negligence, disciplinary proceedings and public inquiries. She is a keen cook and loves walking, theatre and literature.
