Juanita is an experienced commercial lawyer with corporate and board experience in a cross section of industries.
She has law and commerce degrees and is a graduate of the AICD Company Directors Course. Juanita is recognised by the legal industry Doyles Guide as one of the leading Wills & Estate Litigation lawyers in Queensland. Juanita previously spent a period of time outside the law in senior corporate roles, giving her a unique career perspective.
She has significant experience in the sporting industry in CEO, board and legal roles including being the first female CEO of a National Basketball League Club in Australia. Current positions include serving on the boards of Queensland Cricket and South East Queensland Rugby League, Chairperson of the AFL Qld Tribunal and as a member of the National Sports Tribunal Legal Assistance Panel. She is a member of the Australia and New Zealand Sports Lawyers Association and is on the advisory committee to the UQ Business School, Trusts, Ethics & Governance Alliance.
During footy season you will find her managing her son’s under 9 rugby league team or manning the club canteen.
