Jo Masters is the Chief Economist of Barrenjoey Capital Partners, a disruptor in Australian financial services.
Jo is passionate about economics shaping the world and has been a highly regarded part of the economic debate for over 20 years. Her views are regularly sought by policymakers, senior business executives, wholesale investors, and the media.
Her career started with 14 years at Macquarie Bank before moving to ANZ, and then to EY Oceania as the Chief Economist.
She is a Non-Executive Director of the Committee for Economic Development of Australia’s and an Executive Member of the Australian Business Economists. Jo holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics from the University of Auckland, where she was awarded the Economic Prize, and a Master of Economics from the University of Sydney.
Jo is an advocate for equal opportunities and inclusion and has two daughters.
