Janis holds aMasters of Business Administration and brings extensive public sector andcommercial experience gained from working in various Western Australianstatutory authorities over a 25-plus year career. As Director Strategy andPartnerships at VenuesWest, Janis draws on her strengths as a strategic thinkerand influencer and her experience of advising and supporting Boards in thedelivery of planning, communications, marketing, policy, research andorganisational change projects that have been part of VenuesWest’s considerablegrowth and success. Janis also manages the critical partnershipsacross the industry via the Contracts and Procurement Function.
Prior to VenuesWest,Janis was a member of the Executive Team at Tourism WA as its Strategic andCorporate Planner and the Manager of Business Planning and Improvement atCentral TAFE. Janis accredits her early professional success to theopportunities made available to her at the Water Authority in variousCorporate Development and Financial Administrative roles, enabling a thoroughunderstanding of the public sector and commercial operating environment.
