Jane-Anne Claxton

Co-Captain of the Hockeyroos, Jane Claxton has been a part of the Australia Women's Hockey team for the past eight years with notable appearances at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games, 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth games, 2014 FIH World Cup and most recently at the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Jane originates from Adelaide, hockey being a family game with Jane attending hockey games from as early as she can remember, supporting her elder brother and father. Paving her own way into the hockey community, Jane represented her state throughout the junior ranks. In 2012 Jane won U/21 Player of the Tournament which put her on the radar of the National Senior coaches, subsequently earning her a scholarship into the Australian Women's Senior Squad for 2013. Jane made her first international appearance in 2013 in her new home of Perth, WA.  Since commencing her senior international career, Jane has earnt Hockeyroo's Player of The Year in both 2017 and 2019.

Outside of the hockey field Jane has a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy, graduating with first class Honours.  Jane current works within Vocational Rehabilitation, assisting injured workers rehabilitate back to their chosen occupation. Jane has dreams of progressing into the burns and hands/upper limb rehabilitation field in the future
