Evelyn Storey serves as an Executive Director on the Aurecon Group Board and is Aurecon’s Director for Eminence and Sustainability.
As Director, Sustainability, Evelyn leads the 'Sustainability by design' program, focused on embedding sustainability across all markets, capabilities and projects at Aurecon. As Director, Eminence, Evelyn leads Aurecon’s network of diverse technical expertise, building future skills for our professionals and driving technical excellence and impeccable delivery for our clients.
Graduating from Imperial College in London, Evelyn has over 35 years’ experience as a structural engineer and has successfully led multi-disciplinary design teams for complex and award-winning buildings in both Australia and the UK. As a graduate of Aurecon’s Design Academy in 2020, Evelyn has a passion for elegant and sustainable design of engineering structures.
Evelyn has over twenty years’ experience with Aurecon. Previously, Managing Director for Queensland, she has a proven track record in leading high performing teams with a strong people and client engagement culture. She is a Fellow of Engineers Australia and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Directors.
Evelyn was previously a member of the Aurecon Shareholder Board and is a Director of Aurecon Pty Limited, plus subsidiary companies Aurecon Holdings, Aurecon Investments and Aurecon Australasia Pty Ltd. Evelyn also served on the Board of the BPEQ, the government regulator for professional engineering services in Queensland, as Director and Deputy Chair, from 2016 to 2022. Evelyn is currently Chair of the Structural College Board of Engineers Australia.
