Elana Withnall (Lani) is a former Australian Athletics Team Captain and Flag Bearer. One of Australia’s most dynamic athletes, Lani was the IAAF Oceania Heptathlon Champion in 2013/14 and remains an internationally ranked Heptathlete.
With her sporting continuing to evolve, she was a member of the Shadow Australian Winter Olympics Bobsleigh Team in 2015/16 and turned her hand to Rugby 7s in 2016, playing for Macquarie Sydney Rays in the AON Uni 7s Series in 2017.
Noted for her amazing physical development, Elana was a Miss Universe Australia NSW State Finalist in 2012 and she continues to promote fitness and wellbeing in the community, working as a Personal Fitness Trainer and coach on the Central Coast.
After Lani appeared as a Ninja Warrior Australia contestant in 2020 her career then went full circle: with aspirations to keep her Olympic Dream alive, she is back training on the Athletics field for the triple and long jump.
Lani grew up in the small town of Old Bar on the Mid-North Coast of NSW and now resides on the Central Coast. She has a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Media (Journalism).
