Claire is an experienced legal and governance professional. She is currently Executive Director and Company Secretary at ASX-listed entity, National Storage REIT and heads the Legal and Governance function of the organisation.
Claire was the first female appointed to the National Storage board and is passionate about people, culture and diversity within the workplace – core elements that have helped National Storage more than double in size over the past 5 years. Claire is also a director on the School Council of St Margaret’s Anglican Girls School where she hopes to contribute at a grass roots level to the development of young, aspiring women.
Prior to joining National Storage, Claire was inhouse counsel at Rio Tinto and also spent over 10 years in private legal practice. Claire believes it’s important to champion the role of women in organisations and, in particular, to increase female representation in senior leadership roles.
Having competed in a variety of sports for many years, Claire understands the qualities that athletes possess and how transferable these skills are to the corporate world. She is excited to be a part of the Minerva Network and to advance the opportunities of other women through this initiative.
