Chrissie began her sporting career as an athlete in Trampoline Gymnastics. After stepping away from the sport as a 16 year old, Chrissie pursued work in the industry, starting with a casual position at a sporting venue. After a 3 year stint at the sports venue, Chrissie accepted a role with the WA Institute of Sport and throughout her 7 years with the organisation she worked as a sports administrator, responsible for supporting and assisting athletes on scholarship. Additionally, in 2018, Chrissie worked at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games with the AIS Sideline Champions program. Presently, Chrissie is the Participation and Pathways Coordinator for Paralympics Australia, providing facilitation and support to the Paralympic pathway sports and assisting in creating efficiencies across the WA system. Chrissie’s role with Paralympics Australia heavily relies on communication, and similarly she aims to communicate the Minerva Network opportunities to all female para-athletes across the state.
Chrissie is also in her final year of studying a Bachelor of Sport, Recreation and Event Management, and is a new mum. When she’s not working, studying, or changing nappies, she likes to enjoy the outdoors, spending time with friends and family, and occasionally has a jump on the trampoline.
