Brandi Cole

Dr Brandi Cole is a Specialist Sport and Exercise Medicine Physician and founder of Shire Sports Medicine, the Sports Medicine Clinic she works from when she’s not travelling as the team doctor for the Matildas Women Football (soccer) team or as the assistant doctor for the Sydney Roosters NRL team. Brandi completed a physiotherapy degree prior to her medical degree and then went on to obtain a PhD in the management of rotator cuff dysfunction whilst she was also completing her fellowship with the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians. Brandi has personal experience as an athlete, being a former captain of the Australian Women’s Oztag team of which she was a member from 2001 - 2017. She has also played both touch and hockey for NSW in the past and was an Australian and World gold medalist in beach sprint relay in Surf Life Saving. Brandi is a mother of two children, a 9-year-old son and a 4-year-old daughter, and has a special interest in exercise for health during pregnancy and the post partum period as well as being passionate about managing conditions related to the female athlete.
