A hockey player in her youth, Keaney made the switch to AFL and was drafted to the Gold Coast Suns in October 2020, relocating from Melbourne. She has served as Suns' Vice Captain since 2021 and has twice received the Club's Most Professional Award. Off the football field, Keaney has a background in digital communications and works as a project management consultant.
