Alison Sherry OAM

Alison is an accomplished, professional company director and business leader with a background HR, business and corporate governance. A well respected senior executive and established leader with a track record of setting objectives and delivering results, with demonstrated commercial acumen and a strong service-oriented approach gained over 25 years in professional services of both public and private sector. Alison has skills in the field of executive general management, strategic human resource management, organisational change consulting, diversity, talent & workforce capacity management, which have enabled her to competently perform principal roles in strategic overview activities in human resources arena and business reviews. Her most recent experience has been within the animal/veterinary sector, energy, resources (oil & gas), engineering & construction industries. She is a qualified Executive (UQ MBA), Board Director (MAICD) and People Operations specialist (FAHRI), who has established strong relationships with key stakeholders including, but not limited to government and local government, industry bodies, major corporate customers, legal practitioners, other professionals, shareholders and board members.

Her Directorships include RSPCA QLD where she is a Non-Executive Director and Chair of People & Governance Committee (2012 - current) and National Veterinary Care Pty Ltd (ASX – NVL) Non-Executive Director and Chair of Remuneration andNominations Committee 2015 -2017. Alison has been appointed as the first female board Director for Australian Project Management Alliance (APMA) the holding company of the newly merged Ranbury Management Group and Project Support PtyLtd.

Alison is also the Executive General Manager of People Operations at Ranbury (reporting to the Board), where she is responsible for the overall corporate services to meet long term business objectives whilst managing and providing strategic direction for the overall people function and growth enablers for the business. In her prior position as Group Manager of Attraction & Retention at Ergon Energy, she was responsible for the change management and implementation of the EVP, employee branding and social media strategies and career management programs. Previously, the National Human Resources Director for Currie & Brown (AMEC), an international construction consulting business for the Infrastructure, Oil & Gas, Resources and Building industries.  Responsible for all Human Resources strategy and operations, Alison was responsible for the successful transition and change management of the formally privately-owned business, into AMEC, a global FTSE 100 PLC following on from acquisition in January 2010. Prior to joining Currie & Brown, Alison was the General Manager of Hamilton James & Bruce (Qld), an Executive Recruitment, HR and Employment Consulting publicly listed (ASX) organisation.  

Alison is a mentor for the Executive Women Australia's Matching Mentor Program and is also involved in the community through The Downs Syndrome Association of Queensland (DSAQ) where she provides assistance as required to the Association in relation to fund-raising referrals throughout Queensland and interstate
