Yasmin Clydsdale, born in Australia has pursued a career in both rugby league and rugby union, and currently, proudly a part of the Newcastle Knights in the NRL Women's Premiership, where she showcase's her skills primarily as a second-row forward.
Yamin's journey in professional rugby began with the Sydney Roosters in the NRLW and the Central Coast Roosters in the NSWRL Women's Premiership. The 2020 NRLW season signified Yasmin's debut with the Sydney Roosters. In Yasmin's first season, she quickly made an impact and proved her worth on the field, helping the Roosters reach the grand final.
Following Yasmin's debut season, she earned her first State of Origin cap for New South Wales on November, 2020. It was a challenging match, and unfortunately, they didn't secure the win, but it was a significant milestone in her career.
In 2021, Yasmin played a pivotal role in the Sydney Roosters' NRLW Grand Final victory over the St. George Illawarra Dragons, further establishing herself as a key player in the league.
In June 2022, Yasmin decided to take her talents to the Newcastle Knights, signing with the team for the 2022 season. The 2022 NRLW season turned out to be a monumental one for Yasmin as she played a crucial role in the Knights' Grand Final victory over the Parramatta Eels on October 2, 2022. Additionally, in 2022, she had the honor of representing the Australian Jillaroos at the World Cup, where they emerged as the champions. Being part of the winning Australian team in the World Cup was a dream come true for Yasmin.
In April of 2023, Yasmin re-signed with the Newcastle Knights, committing to the team until the end of 2025. She is excited about the future and looks forward to continuing her journey in the world of rugby league, inspiring fans and aspiring athletes with her dedication and love for the game.
