Virginia Briggs

Virginia Briggs is the Managing Partner of MinterEllison's Infrastructure, Construction and Property group. She is a market-leading practitioner in the property, development and infrastructure markets acting for both government and private clients. Virginia deals in complex large-scale real estate transactions spanning the development, sale, purchase and leasing of commercial, industrial, residential and retail developments and infrastructure assets.

Virginia’s expertise is widely recognised within the legal community being ranked in several legal and peer directories including a Band 1 ranking in Chambers Asia Pacific, noted as a Leading Individual in Legal500, recognition in Doyles' Guide as 'preeminent' and is listed in Best Lawyers.

Virginia is passionate about the property industry and is heavily involved in the Property Council of Australia (PCA) including as a member of the PCA's National Board. Virginia is also a Board member of Committee for Sydney, Chair of its Knowledge Economy Taskforce and in 2017 was appointed a member of the NSW School Infrastructure Advisory Board. In addition to her industry leadership, Virginia also holds multiple leadership roles within MinterEllison including on the firm's Diversity and Innovation Committees.
