Tracey Vieira

Tracey is the Chief Content Officer for Emmy® and BAFTA Award-winning film and television production company, Hoodlum, and the current President of Screen Producers Australia.

Hoodlum operates between Australia, the US, and the UK and produces feature films, television, and digital content. In 2021 Tracey produced a feature film for Stan and a feature film for Netflix and worked across Hoodlum’s development slate. Both features proudly secured the gender equitable production stamp from Reframe.

Prior to producing Tracey was the CEO of Screen Queensland where she led the organisation through significant cultural change and growth over five years and was the Los Angeles based Senior Vice President of International Production for Ausfilm for 10-years.

She is a champion for the Arts and its influence on our well-being and identity and has worked in a range of Directorships across music, precinct development, visual arts, and placemaking. Tracey was named in the 2018 Australian Financial Review 100 Women of Influence and is the 2016 Telstra Queensland Business Woman of the Year.

Between her roles at Ausfilm and Screen Queensland, she has played an integral role in attracting more than $2 billion in production investment to Australia and has led from the front by introducing game changing initiatives in the screen industry for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island filmmakers and a Gender Equity Policy to drive change both behind and in front of the screen.

Tracey is a Director of Home of the Arts (HOTA) Gold Coast and Chair of the Asia Pacific Screen Awards and President of Screen Producers Australia. She is an external Advisor to US-based Australians in Film and Chair of the Griffith Film School Industry Advisory Board. She is the former Co-Chair of the Screen Diversity and Inclusion Network. Tracey is a member IWFAustralia.
