Rudi Ellis

Rudi Ellis grew up all around the world because of her Dad's job but the main base was always in Sydney. Rudi played many sports growing up, including netball, basketball, touch football, athletics, swimming, water polo, hockey, softball etc but then decided to stick with netball "because it was the closest thing to school at the time and I loved the girls who played - my first junior netball club being Ku-Ring-Gai Netball Association".

After being in the NSW & Australian pathway throughout school, Rudi was then selected to be a NSW Swifts training partner. Following this she made the move to Melbourne to pursue her studies at RMIT doing a Bachelor of Communications, and was then a training partner with the Melbourne Vixens for 2 years. After a grand final win in the ANL in her final year in Melbourne Rudi was contracted to the Queensland Firebirds in 2019.

During 2020 Rudi also completed her studies at RMIT and now has a Bachelor of Communications degree (majoring in Journalism). Rudi has had experience working with the Western Bulldogs AFLW media team as well as the Melbourne Vixens and will be working casually at Netball Queensland within the media team for next year.
