Paolina Hunt

Paolina Hunt is an accomplished company director with broad hands-on business experience coupled with legal and business qualifications.

Paolina launched a business in her 20’s that grew rapidly to become Australia’s #1 designer and supplier of innovative netball uniforms. With agents in each state, the UK and New Zealand, her business revolutionised the face of netball by driving the move to bodysuits and other creative, more athletic on-court wear. High profile customers included the Australian Diamonds and the Australian Women’s Cricket Team.

The business was sold in 2000 and Paolina went on to complete her MBA and LLB (Hons). She worked in litigation in Adelaide before relocating to Melbourne.

In 2021 Paolina concluded 9 years as a Director of Netball Australia, the last 4 as Chair, leading the organisation through significant transformation, commercial growth, and important governance reform.

Key achievements while Chair included the launch of Suncorp Super Netball; securing record government investment; leading netball’s federated structure through the far-reaching impact of COVID-19; winning the bid for Australia to host Netball World Cup 2027; securing a vastly improved broadcast and digital rights deal; as well as planning and delivering the State of the Game Review that has already delivered governance reform and will ensure greater alignment across netball’s federated structure.

Paolina is a strategic and critical thinker with sound judgement and a passion for creating solutions. She is a collaborative and purpose led leader who develops and maintains relationships based on trust and respect. Paolina has direct experience leading in complex stakeholder environments and, as a former elite netballer, understands the importance of team work as well as the focus and resilience required to achieve sustained success.

Paolina has most recently been exploring a new product innovation with the potential to revolutionise the corrective eyewear industry.
