Noemie Fox

Noemie Fox is a Canoe Slalom athlete representing Australia on the World Cup and World Championship circuit. Born in France, Noemie moved to Australia at the age of two as both of her parents were involved as coaching staff in the Sydney 2000 Olympics.

Noemie started competing at the age of 14 and represented Australia at her first Junior World Championships in 2013 where she won gold in the Women’s Canoe team event. Today Noemie competes across 3 disciplines: Kayak (K1W), Canoe (C1W) & Slalom Cross and is currently ranked 5th in the world in Slalom Cross. Last year, Noemie claimed the National and State Championship titles and was the Tokyo 2022 Olympic Reserve. At the 2022 World Cup in Poland, Noemie won Australia’s first World Cup medal (silver) in the new Paris 2024 Olympic Slalom Cross event and made her second World Championship final in the Canoe event.

Outside of the boat, Noemie completed both a Bachelor of Arts (Media & Communications) and Master of Management at The University of Sydney and is now working as a Transformation Analyst for Accenture Australia. She is a strong advocate for breaking down barriers to sport for young people and has worked in partnership with Black Dog Mental Health Institute to deliver mental resilience workshops in schools. In 2022, Noemie was also an ambassador for the Australian Institute of Sport’s program Thrive with Pride to increase the visibility and accessibility of LGBTIQ+ allies and to help build a culture of equality, understanding and acceptance in the Australian sporting landscape.
