Nicole Andronicus

As the Director of International Relations & Multicultural Affairs Nicole connects businesses with Brisbane’s international Sister City network and other key global regions. Nicole engages with Brisbane’s multicultural business communities and chambers of commerce supporting their activities and initiatives, advising the Lord Mayor and Deputy Mayor on the community’s ever-changing needs and trends, which in turn benefits council on economic programs.

Brisbane is Australia’s largest city council with strong economic and business ties with Asia. Nicole's team generate leads for two-way investment opportunities, actively match like-minded businesses, and design, coordinate and travel with Brisbane businesses to offshore markets, taking their business to the next level.

Nicole is a big-picture thinker. A Bachelor of Business with Human Resources and Industrial Relations majors, and a double major in the Indonesian Language and Culture, has empowered her to pursue her passions in the people and international relations space. A further Graduate Certificate in Executive Leadership has enabled her to expand upon 20 years of experience in leading and building bilingual and highly diverse teams.

Nicole has worked with leading employers and in unique roles where she has met with some of the world’s best and brightest minds such as as Virgin boss Sir Richard Branson, Olympian Lord Sebastian Coe, Netflix co-founder Marc Randolph, and Amazon chief scientist Andreas Weigend, as well as working alongside inspirational politicians and leading academics.

Nicole's career is dedicated to community contribution, economic and social impact projects and global empowerment at a city level.

Nicole’s amateur participation in sports such as touch football, tennis, and basketball has instilled confidence, determination, and a strong work ethic, qualities which Nicole largely attributes to the shaping of her career through decisive leadership and an appreciation for team work.
