Morgan Gallagher

Born and bred in Brisbane, Morgan is an elite hockey athlete and a second year lawyer, currently training with the Queensland Academy of Sport and working full time in commercial and property law.

Morgan began her hockey journey at 6 years old after being introduced to the sport through family friends. Morgan went on to make age group Queensland teams before being selected in the u18s Australian Futures Squad, u21 Jillaroos Squad and the National Development Squad.  Notably, Morgan captained the u21 Australian team in New Zealand and played for the Australian u23 team in a Four Nation Series in China.

Morgan is thankful for the opportunities that hockey has provided her with both in sport and her career. Morgan is currently striving for National Squad selection and to compete and perform well at major tournaments for Australia. Morgan also endeavours to always progress in her career, and eventually obtain opportunities to work in corporate law or sports law. Morgan would also like to work and/or travel internationally in the future.
