Mikaela is a current member of the Australian National Volleyball team and was named as the teams captain in the 2023 season.
She grew up in Sydney and attended Santa Sabina College where her passion for sport grew to the next level. After being involved in a wide array of sports through school Mikaela eventually settled on focusing on one sport, Volleyball.
It was then in 2017 she moved to Canberra to become a full time athlete at the Australian Institute of Sport whilst also completing her degree in Exercise Physiology and Rehabilitation.
After graduating from university Mikaela signed her first professional volleyball contract in Sweden in which her team finished 4th in the league.
