Maja Andrysiak

Maja Andrysiak is a young Brisbane-based powerlifter and national multi-gold medallist who will be competing at the Australian National Championships, vying for selection to the Junior and Sub-Junior International Powerlifting Championships for the third consecutive year, as well as aiming to make her debut at the Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships.

Following her win as an 84kg athlete at the 2025 National Championships in Sydney, Maja went on to place 9th overall at the World Championships in Costa Rica, including a 5th-place finish in the deadlift.

Maja has high hopes for her return to the National Championships in April 2026.

Alongside her athletic career, Maja runs a non-profit powerlifting club dedicated to making the sport accessible to young people who may not otherwise be able to afford participation.

Outside the gym, Maja is studying a Bachelor of Psychology at The University of Queensland.
