Lydia Lassila was a freestyle aerial skier who competed at five consecutive Winter Olympics - a feat no woman or man has accomplished before.
She is an Olympic Gold & Bronze medallist and a real trailblazer in her sport, being the first woman ever to perform a quad-twisting-triple somersault on snow - a skill previously reserved for men only.
Lydia has published her auto-biography called “The Will to Fly” which was also released as a remarkable documentary movie which she also stars in.
Lydia has been honoured throughout her career and just some of her accolades include; winner of the Don award, Athlete of the Year by the Australian Institute of Sport, Ski and Snowboard Australia Athlete of the Year and the Order of Australia Medal.
Lydia is a mother of two boys and founder of two businesses: ZONE By Lydia, an eco-conscious yoga brand she launched in 2020 and and BodyICE of which she has owned and operated since 2007 whilst travelling the world as an elite athlete mastering the skills of balancing elite sport, business and life.
