Lisa Darmanin

Lisa Darmanin is a dual Olympian and Olympic Silver Medalist in the sport of Sailing. Lisa made her Olympic debut at Rio 2016 in the Nacra 17 mixed multihull, the first compulsory mixed gender sailing class. Lisa is a strong advocate for female sailing in Australia and gender equality in her sport. Lisa was named Australian Female Sailor of the year in 2015, 2016 and 2020.

Lisa embarked on her Olympic journey after winning the Sailing Youth Worlds Championships in 2009 with her teammate and cousin Jason Waterhouse. Lisa and Jason competed as a team at the 2016 and 2020 Olympic Games and over their Olympic campaign have brought home four World Championship medals including  1 silver medal and 3 bronze.  

Off the water, Lisa has completed her Bachelor of Commerce (Liberal Studies) majoring in International Business, Marketing and French. Lisa has enjoyed gaining experience in broadcasting as an on-water reporter and host for SailGP, an international fast-paced sailing league.
