Linda Wayman has had a successful and diverse career in both private and public sectors as a journalist, marketing and media executive, and a senior communications executive in government.
She was previously general manager for the Perth division of Southern Cross Media, ASX listed and Australia’s largest broadcasting company and has substantial experience and success in leading large organisations including success at commercialisation of digital transformation in the media industry.
Linda’s previous senior executive service (SES) roles in Government were with the Western Australian Government as general manager of EventsCorp, the State’s major event agency; and with the Victorian Government in roles in marketing, communications and public affairs. Linda started her career as a journalist and was editor of a national yachting magazine in Sydney and later group editor of community newspapers in Melbourne. She has worked in event management and sports tourism.
She was Western Australia’s Telstra Businesswoman of the Year in 2033 and awarded Advertiser of the Year in 2012 by the Perth advertising industry.
