Kezie Apps

Kezie Apps is an Australian Rugby League player who currently plays for Helensburgh Tiger Lillies. Apps is a Dragons Ambassador, and plays for the Jillaroos and St George Illawarra in the inaugural NRL women's competition in addition to working part-time with the Dragons and NRL in community and development.  In 2019, Kezie was named captain of the NRLW Dragons team and the NSW Blues

Born in Bega NSW, Kezie played her Junior Rugby League for the Bega Roosters from the age of 8 – 11. At the age of 12 she was forced to stop playing due to age restrictions and started playing Hockey. In 2012, Apps played League Tag for the Bega Roosters and returned to Rugby League in 2014 joining the Helensburgh tiger lilies. Later that year she made her debut for New South Wales in the annual Women’s Interstate Challenge against Queensland and Australia in their Four Nations curtain-raiser against New Zealand. At the end of the season she was named Illawarra Women’s player of the year and the NSWRL Women’s Player of the Year. In 2015, she made her debut for the Women’s All Star side in their annual fixture against the indigenous All Stars and also received Player of the Match. In 2016 Apps was awarded NSWRL Women’s Player of the Year and she won the women’s Dally M Medal for Player of the Year.
