Kayla is a current member of the Australian Open Women’s Softball Squad, having played at a national level for 6 years, first representing Queensland and now Tasmania.
She has represented Brisbane at the state level for 8 years, playing and living in Brisbane since she was young. Kayla has recently moved to the Sunshine Coast and is loving it.
Being not only a woman in sport but playing in a non-financed sport, she has experienced a lot of ups and downs in her softball career. With Australia currently ranked 10th in the world, Kayla is aiming to make the national team to compete at the WBSC World finals in Italy this year, with an ambition to podium and improve the team’s ranking.
She combines her softball career with full time work and full time study at Griffith University, where she’s studying a double Bachelor Degree in Business / International Tourism and Hotel Management, majoring in events and tourism.
