Jenna McCormick

Brisbane Roar defender and former Matilda, Jenna McCormick is a fan favourite for her winning mentality and leadership skills on the pitch.

Jenna is a dual athlete who has played professional Football and AFL. In 2017, Jenna was drafted by the Adelaide Crows in the inaugural AFL Women’s season, going on to win two AFLW premierships with the Crows. Jenna juggled both sports for three seasons before electing to focus solely on her football career.

Jenna made her A-League debut in the 2015/16 season with Canberra United where she spent two seasons before having stints at Melbourne Victory, Melbourne City, and Adelaide United. Internationally, Jenna has also played in the Norweigan top football league Toppserien, Spanish club Real Betis, and the Danish Women’s League Elitedevisionen.

In 2019, Jenna made her Matilda’s debut against Chile and has four caps for her country. Off the back of the 2023 World Cup, Jenna acknowledges the positive impact the Matildas had on Australia and hopes to see a continued support for women’s football.

Off the football pitch, Jenna is a part owner of Football Star Academy, running weekly clinics for kids alongside other professional footballers Stefan Mauk and Nick Ansell. Jenna is also passionate about public speaking and sharing her experiences through her professional sporting career.
