Cheryl Hayman

Cheryl is a current NED on the Boards of Beston Global Foods Ltd (ASX:BFC) , Ai Media Technologies (ASX:AIM) and  Hancock and Gore Limited, (ASX:HNG) where she is also the Remuneration & Nominations Committee Chair as well as Member of their Finance, Audit and Risk committees.

Additionally, Cheryl is a NED and member of the People and Remuneration Committee for Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand, as well as being on the board of advisors for the Digital Experts Advisory Committee (part of the Prime Minister’s Digital Technology Taskforce). Cheryl is also a NED for the Darlinghurst Theatre Company and Peer Support Australia, in the not-for-profit sector.

Cheryl has served on multiple other not for profits, including as a Director on the Basketball Australia board, 6 years with Gymnastics Australia as an independent Nomination committee member as well as being a prior Director of St John (NSW). All of these have a strong focus on the development of younger people, across sectors, and support and education as part of ensuring their continual professional and personal development.

Prior to entering the Boardroom, Cheryl was a C-Suite marketing director who led large teams locally and overseas to achieve significant growth and develop innovative new products. She has a significant background in FMCG having worked with global food and consumer retail companies, George Weston Foods, Yum! Restaurants and Unilever.

These experiences gave her a whole-of-business leadership and responsibility. Cheryl is known for her focus on people development, support for younger generations and her desire to assist wherever she can, especially for the next generations.

Cheryl is a broad business leader with a proven capability to add value through applying a strategic focus to growth. She has skills in managing the challenges of geographic product and channel expansion, digital strategy and development, innovation and business growth.

Social purpose, inclusion and care for people are cultural imperatives for her.

Outside of the boardroom, she is a passionate mentor, having provided mentoring for around 30 years, formally and informally, particularly to women as a mentor for Mentor Walks, Women on Boards, NAWO and The Marketing Academy.
