Ashleigh Werner

Ashleigh is a driver of the Australian Women's Bobsleigh Team, working towards the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics in both the Women's (2-person) and newly introduced Monobob (individual) events. Having come from Rugby 7s, 15s and League prior, Ashleigh has been involved in high level sport her entire life. After narrowly missing out on the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics due to unforeseen circumstances, Ashleigh made the switch from Brakewoman to Pilot and has found great success since. Loving the speed and adrenaline of the Winter Sport lifestyle, the last few years have included a gold and bronze medal on her home track of Lake Placid, Silver in Park City, Utah and various other podium finishes on the international circuit in both North America and Europe. She and her team achieved 2nd Overall in North America in the 2018/19 Season (her first year as a driver) and, most recently, the Overall Title of the New Horizons Cup in South Korea, finishing off the 2020/21 Season with a silver medal in the inaugural Korean Cup.

Ashleigh studied a double degree in Business and International Studies and currently works at Accenture as a Senior Analyst and is hoping to move into the culture, leadership and organisation field.
