Ashlee Daunt

Born in Brisbane, Ashlee began sailing quite late compared to others at the age of 14.  Having worked her way up through the junior sailing classes of sabot and 29er, Ashlee earned her position in the Queensland Academy of Sport at the beginning of 2021 after having an incredibly successful domestic competition season in the 29er class.

Throughout her journey so far, Ashlee has sailed with many different people in various double-handed classes, but has most recently started sailing with her brother, Brayden in the Mixed 470 - a new event and class for Paris 2024.  Together, they have been selected as part of the Australian Sailing Futures program, which is a national development squad aimed at preparing athletes for Australian Sailing Team selection in 2-3 years as well as Olympic selection for Paris 2024, LA 2028 and/or Brisbane 2032.

Off the water, Ashlee has completed a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and currently works 3 days per week for one of the Big 4 Professional Services firms, Deloitte.
