Annie Wilmot

Annie grew up sailing on Sydney Harbour, spending most of her life on the water. She was first thrown in a Manly Junior at 4 years old and has loved the sport ever since.

Annie’s youth sailing career started in the Hobie 16’s class, representing Australia at the 2013 Oceania Games and securing a bronze medal. She then transitioned to the 29er, securing multiple National Championship titles before becoming the 2016 Youth World Champion.

In 2017 Annie was selected to compete in her second Youth Worlds, but turned down the opportunity to move into the Olympic 49erFX class and pursue her Olympic dream. Success followed, being named 2017 Australian Female Sailor of the year, and qualifying Australia for an entry spot in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Narrowly missing out on the 2020 Olympic selection, Annie teamed up with fellow sailor Laura Harding and is more determined than ever to compete at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
