Alyssa is a wicket-keeper/batter and has enjoyed an astonishing amount of success in her career thus far. She has been an integral part of victorious campaigns such as the ICC Women's World T20 ( x 5), ICC Women's World Cup, Women's Ashes (x 2), WBBL titles (x2)  and multiple WNCL titles with the NSW Breakers.

Alyssa has now played over 130 international matches and continues to be an important member of the Australian side across all 3 formats.

On the domestic front, Alyssa plays for the NSW Breakers and Sydney Sixers WBBL teams. She captained the Sixers in the finals of the 2016/17 WBBL in the absence of the injured Ellyse Perry, leading the Sixers to the title, a feat they repeated in 2017/18.

She was named Player of the Tournament in the 2018 T20 World Cup in the West Indies and played an integral role in the 2020 T20 World Cup in Australia, including being named Player of The Match in the final at the MCG in front of 87,000 people.
