Today, she is a successful Barrister and the Independent Federal Member for the seat of Warringah in Sydney’s north, having won the seat at the 2019 Federal Election by ousting the incumbent, former Prime Minister Tony Abbott.

Zali will share insights from her amazing sporting and business career with Australia’s elite women in sport, providing practical tips on how they can leverage their experience as an athlete and build a highly successful career both in and out of the world’s sporting arenas.

The Minerva Network, in partnership with foundation partner Accenture, will bring together more than 70 of Australia’s finest women athletes across multiple sports for another remarkable Minerva Network Virtual Workshop on Wednesday 13 May – the second in a series of webinars during the COVID-19 public health crisis.

2020 has presented unprecedented challenges in our community, with the dreams and aspirations of our athletes put on hold as we come together to meet the global challenge of COVID-19. Our athletes are becoming true leaders in their communities and can offer so much support to their fellow Australians.

Zali will be joined as guest speaker at the Virtual Workshop by Annabelle Williams, an internationally renowned motivational speaker and Paralympic Gold Medallist, lawyer, Board Director, sports and business consultant, diversity advocate and TV sports commentator.

Hockeyroos international Lily Brazel and athlete Elana Withnall will also speak at the webinar.

Expert advice about career planning will also be forthcoming from Sarah Kruger, Managing Director Human Resources at Accenture Australia and New Zealand, and Glenn Jackson, Executive Director Human Resources at QIC Partners. Sarah will speak on Your Strength Your Story, and Glenn will conduct an interactive Career Planning Workshop online.

This is a Virtual Workshop not to be missed! Women athletes who would like to join us can register here.
