Diane Outhred – Victoria State Chapter Co-Lead
Diane Outhred joins the Minerva Network as the new Victoria State Chapter Co-Lead, bringing both local and global experience in investment banking, mining, and resources. She steps into the role alongside Sally Macindoe, succeeding Kate Palmer AM, who has stepped down as Co-Chapter Lead but remains a valued mentor. We deeply appreciate Kate’s long-standing support and contributions to Minerva and warmly welcome Diane to the network.
“I am thrilled to join the Minerva Network, a community of professional women dedicated to empowering and supporting professional Australian sportswomen within and beyond their sports. It’s a privilege to be able to support this mission and be part of the positive force for Australian female athletes.”
Daniel Kowalski OAM OLY – Minerva Network Ambassador
Olympic swimming champion and respected sports leader Daniel Kowalski OAM OLY has been a long-time supporter of Minerva and now officially joins as an Ambassador. His passion for fostering inclusive and supportive environments for athletes during and post their athletic career aligns perfectly with Minerva’s mission.
“I’m incredibly honoured to be an Ambassador for the Minerva Network! Watching this amazing network grow over the past six years has been inspiring, and I’m thrilled to now be an official part of it. Minerva isn’t just about professional and personal development for Australia’s top female athletes—it’s a powerful community that champions inclusivity and growth.”
Phil Kearns AM – Minerva Network Board Member
Rugby legend and long-time Minerva Ambassador Phil Kearns AM is taking on a new leadership role, joining the Minerva Network Board. His commitment to creating pathways for women in sport and business will further drive Minerva’s strategic impact.
“I’m excited to transition from my role as an Ambassador to joining the Minerva Network Board. The work Minerva does to empower women in sport is inspiring, and I look forward to contributing my experience to further its mission of creating new pathways and opportunities for female athletes.
Minerva has experienced incredible growth in recent years, and it’s clear that the impact we’ve had is just the beginning. There’s still so much more to be done, and I’m committed to helping drive this momentum forward, ensuring that even more women have the support, visibility, and opportunities they deserve in the world of sport and business.”
Looking Ahead to 2025
With these three outstanding leaders joining the Minerva Network in new capacities, 2025 is shaping up to be a landmark year for our community. Their expertise, passion, and dedication will further our commitment to supporting Australia’s professional sportswomen as they navigate their careers and transition into life beyond the field.
