In the space of 24 hours back in May 2022, Minerva Athlete Grace Kim recorded her first win on the Epson Tour in Florida, while back in NSW, Grace's mentor Gemma Dooley won an historic fifth mid am crown at Pacific Dunes Golf Course, both while wearing the same outfit!

Grace claimed a five-stroke victory with a three-round total of 18-under at the IOA Golf Classic.

“I did not expect a win this early in my career,” conceded Kim.

“To have an Epson event as my first professional career win is quite special and to have Dad on the bag is that little bit extra on top."

A member of the Golf Australia Rookie Squad, Grace was a prolific winner as an amateur and a two-time winner on the Women’s All Pro Tour prior to turning professional last year. Since this win in May, Grace has gone on to compete at the US Open

Meanwhile, her mentor Gemma was delighted to win a fifth Srixon mid am title.

“I haven’t won it for seven years; I was thinking that I might not win it again,” she said.

“I won my first mid-am title in 2007, and it is amazing to think I can still compete at a high level like this many years later.”
