Kate Argent

Kate Argent has a passion for driving positive community change through sport. She has built a successful career in sports strategy and management and has led the Minerva Network operations since 2019.

Kate has led women’s football strategies for Western Australia and South Australia and was Commercial Manager for the East Fremantle Football Club. As a Strategic Project Specialist at the West Australian Football Commission, Kate led the stakeholder engagement and competition design for the West Australian Football League’s new Women’s competition.  In 2016 she was appointed by the SANFL to develop the five year women’s football strategy for South Australia. The following year Kate advised a subsidiary of Navitas on the development of a sports leadership offering and piloted the program through the East Fremantle Women’s Football Club, where she was President.

Before moving to the sports industry, Kate worked in London for global law firm Freshfields, including supporting the firm's sponsorship of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Born in Macksville NSW, Kate grew up in a sports loving family and has enjoyed playing a variety of sports including AFL, netball, touch rugby and rugby. She now lives in Sydney with her husband and two young children.

Kate is proud to be laying the foundation for long term success of Minerva and thrives on helping women to reach their potential.
