Growing up in Albury, southern NSW, Jocelyn had an affinity for numerous sports in her youth, however her passion for hockey saw her pursue it in an elite capacity. In 2016 Jocelyn was awarded an AIS Scholarship, moving over to Perth to train with the Olympic squad in the preparation for Rio 2016. In March 2016 Jocelyn made her debut for the Hockeyroos and in 2017 she was elevated to the Senior National Squad.Since then she has played in numerous international tournaments, with her most recent success a silver medal at the FIH Pro League Finals in 2019. Jocelyn recently played her 50th international cap for the Hockeyroos, and has already represented her country at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and Vitality Hockey World Cup.Over the past 6 years, Jocelyn has juggled training, competition, casual work and studies, recently graduating with a B. Exercise and Sports Science from Edith Cowan University. She is currently exploring a research volunteer opportunity with the Fiona Wood Foundation and hopes to either extend her studies or progress her career in the health and rehabilitation industry over the next few years. She has also enjoyed her time as an ambassador for the Queensland Brain Institutes, Concussion Project, as both her studies and personal experience sparked a desire to educate young athletes about the severity of concussions.
