Jess Muir is a QAS Sailing Athlete in the 49erFX class. In her time as a youth, Jess sailed both the 29er (women) and Nacra 15 (mixed) and after achieving top female in several domestic regattas, gained her spot in QAS as a training partner in both youth classes.
Jess has since transitioned as a categorized athlete into the 49er FX which is the female double-handed Olympic class with hopes to be the first QLD female to compete in this class at the games (LA 2028/Brisbane 2032).
Due to covid, Jess was unable to compete on a world stage as a youth but is super excited to compete internationally in the FX.
Outside of sailing, Jess is completing a Bachelor of Physiotherapy due to her passions for sport and health with the hopes of a future career in sports physio. Jess would love to work closely with female athletes in particular and strive to be a strong role model for all young females within her sport.
