Jaz Hedgeland

Seventeen years after Jaz was first inspired to try the sport of triathlon when watching the 2004 Olympic Games, Jaz debuted at the Tokyo Olympics. She fell in love with the sport as a nine year old and hasn't looked back.

Jaz made her first Australian team when she was selected for the Australian Youth Olympic Festival in 2013. When walking away with Individual and Mixed Relay Event gold, her passion to be an Elite Professional Triathlete was solidified. Since then Jaz has progressed from winning Junior to Elite National Titles. In 2019 she stepped onto her first World Cup Podium and later that year placed in the top ten in two World Triathlon Series Races.

Jaz has represented Australia at six World Championships. Outside of triathlon Jaz enjoys public speaking, particularly at schools to inspire the next generation. Jaz has a love of photography and delving into the creative space.

Jaz is currently aiming for the Commonwealth Games next year in Birmingham and then the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
