Amy Parmenter

Amy was a former midcourter for the Sydney Giants Netball Team, now captaining the new SSN team the Melbourne Mavericks. She started playing netball later than most at the elite level. Instead she was playing a whole range of other sports like athletics, touch football and swimming, only taking up more competitive netball when she was 14.

Amy ended sticking with netball because she was so inspired by the strong, fearless women and she felt so herself and happy when she was on a netball court. Amy represented NSW and Australia throughout her junior career and was a training partner with the Giants for 2 years before she was elevated into the Giants contracted team of 10 in 2019 and then in 2024 contracted to the Mavericks. She is has also been a part of the Australian Development Squad for the past few years.

Amy has recently graduated with a Bacehlor of Law and Communications from the Univeristy of Technology, Sydney and for the past few off seasons she has also been managing "The Tie Dye Project", an organisation that raises money for Sarcoma related research projects. With the help of some very special people, the project has raised more than $500,000.
